Hello, Is Anybody Out There? Recently while reading an ongoing book as regards to fashions I got a few surprises. I was quite surprised at the author's conservative stance as regards to modesty. In fact if I had not known differently I would have thought the writing was that of a staunch Pentecostal and other similar conservative group instead of being from the Catholic. So far I have found no such writings from those sources, however. Where are their voices on this subject? I've contemplated by using the question coming to mind that I have often heard from youth on obvious subjects that someone generally seems to overlook: Hello! is anybody out there? Another surprise came as I browse the several quotes that author gave from Pope Pius XII - which a lot of people undoubtedly would consider legalistic - but I considered just good advice. His comments were a reminder how the good of our soul is much more important than the body. Now with our me'ism and comforts mentality which is hard to do sometimes. But that wasn't all. He added another punch - we also have to think about the spiritual welfare of our neighbor over our very own comforts. Imagine! Of course which means in concerning our subject of modesty when a specific form of attire leads to a person to sin, spiritually effecting our soul while others, it's our duty so it can have up. Hello! Is anybody around? As I said, I was totally surprised at this type of conservative stance. He even suggested our choices can effect others in manners we often do not think about. In fact, we should even think about the anxieties and motional issues that are caused by all this. Wow! An illustration could possibly be suppressed shame that iniduals get ready for our sons and daughters by allowing the crooks to become familiar with being scantily dressed. We think they are so cute, yet without even meaning to do this we cause these to lose the feeling of modesty-which reveals future problems we can only imagine. And these are children that Heaven has entrusted to us to become mentioned as Christians. But the sad the fact is that tragically some mothers not only enable their young daughters to be seen in 'hooker chick' but encourage it. It seems apparent that parents in general have become desensitized to today's fashions. They have been duped by the fashion industry. And the basis for it seems like simply that they can want their children to get popular. But whatever their reason, why should we be amazed by today's tween and teen girls making the rounds dressed like streetwalkers? It's their parents who permit them to. Let's face it most 10 to 16-year-olds don't have access to a lot of cash until someone accounts for for many years... And that is it who probably drives the crooks to the mall? It's their mother. It is obvious, area clothe themselves in what their mommies allow. Hello! Is anybody out there? Children are supposed to become protected and taught to value themselves as well as their bodies. But simply because this author was asking, what I've also pondered for a long time, what chance does just a little girl stand of keeping her childhood or innocense intact if it's her mother that takes her on the store and will cover the thongs, the itty-bitty skirts, the hipster jeans, the skimpy tops along with the plunging necklines? Yet, the truth is if we get right down to it, the genuine issue comes front-center-clear. It's the fathers who're letting their precious little girls dress like 'ladies of the night'? And whether we accept some conservative legalistic sounding stance on the matter - even one coming from a Pope... it's fathers, and mothers that will stand ultimately responsible before God to the effect all this is around the children.
